Sara lives in D.C. with her husband, David, and their greyhounds Whiskey, and Roxy.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio Sara moved to D.C. for law school, and fell in love with the vibrant community. She earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law. She began her legal career representing low-income housing cooperatives in the Community Development Law Clinic and loved the hands-on nature of small and solo practice.

She went on to a small private firm in DuPont that focused on construction defects, commercial tenancies, deed disputes, and other real estate matters. Seeking a more public-service oriented practice, Sara then moved to a low-cost law firm representing residential and commercial tenants in disputes with their landlords. Now, after gaining the hands-on litigation experience needed to fight for her clients, she is evolving once again.

 What people are saying:

“Sara was so impressive to work with and blew me away with her professionalism, subject matter acumen, and lovely demeanor. She was super responsive but expedient and efficient, patient with us when we need explanations, and helped us come to a swift resolution that we were very happy with. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“I needed help to deal with a new landlord who wanted me to leave my home so that he could redevelop the property. I’d lived there more than 20 years so this was stressful for me. Sara acted for me in negotiating a good deal that covered the costs of a move plus something extra for the inconvenience of it all. She was professional, reassuring, and expert, and also timely and thoughtful.”
